
Seven Austin Public Library branches will get temporary public art installations this fall thanks to the city’s Art in Public Places Program. Now in its seventh year featuring the TEMPO project will also add 10 temporary murals citywide.

Brandon Mike — Central Library
Jamie Spinello — Hampton Branch at Oak Hill Library
Christy Stallop — Manchaca Branch Library
After being displayed at the library branches, the seven sculptures will be re-installed for a group exhibition at Edward Rendon Sr. Park Metro Park at Festival Beach. The exhibition “TEMPO Convergence” is an official part of the East Austin Studio Tour, Nov. 16-17, 23-24. The artists’ reception is at 12 noon Nov. 16.
The murals, known as the TEMPO 2D project, will be on public sites or on urban infrastructure at 10 locations around the city. The artists are:
