The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded Texas 44 grants totaling $1,307,500 in its first round of 2021 funding.
In all the NEA distributed $27.5 million in grants announced today.
Austin area organization receiving funding are:
- American Short Fiction — $15,000 (Literary Arts)
- Austin Film Society — $20,000 (Media Arts)
- Austin Independent School District— $100,000 (Arts Education)
- Creative Action — $45,000 (Arts Education)
- OUTsider Film & Arts Festival — $10,000 (Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works)
- Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance — $20,000 (Folk & Traditional Arts)
- Tapestry Dance Company — $15,000 (Dance)
- University of Texas, Landmarks public art program — $20,000 (Visual Arts)
- Women & Their Work — $30,000 (Visual Arts)
- Zach Theatre — $10,000 (Musical Theater)
