In its first round of recommended grants for fiscal year 2023, the National Endowment of the Arts has award $1,514,000 to Texas arts organizations and Texas artists.
Among the individual grantees are Austin-based writers KB Brookins and Bradley Trumpfheller, both of whom received $25,000 individual Literature Fellowships. Poet Rodney Gomez of McAllen also received a Literature Fellowship.

- Hispanic Alliance for the Performing Arts — $30,000
- Puerto Rican Cultural Center — $10,000
- Tapestry Dance Company — $25,000
- Women & Their Work — $40,000
- Zachary Scott Theatre Center — $25,000
