Big Medium Postpones Texas Biennial to 2021

Big Medium has announced that it is postponing the Texas Biennial, which was originally planned for this fall, until 2021.

“The health and wellbeing of artists, arts institutions, and the international community is of paramount concern to the biennial curators and Big Medium, and we wish all Texans health and safety during this time,” read a statement from the Austin non-profit organization.

Texas Biennial creative directors and co-curators Ryan N. Dennis and Evan Garza, will continue with their curatorial process and planning through the end of 2020 to accommodate for quarantines and travel delays in the coming weeks and months.

The 2021 Texas Biennial will be the seventh iteration of indie, multi-part art exhibition. New biennial dates, confirmed artists, and additional details on programs and key partners will be announced will be announced later this year.
