Like so much making the pivot to digital these day, Austin’s two top homes tours are going virtual this year.
Preservation Austin’s tour, “Downtown Doorsteps,” has been rescheduled from its original date to August 13. The 45-minute video tour will explore downtown Austin’s historic living from mid-century high-rises to a converted 19th-century Congress Avenue storefront. The video includes interviews with homeowners and additional footage of each home and is followed by a live Q&A session.

AIA Austin’s virtual tour will run Oct. 16-19 and feature nine homes by a familiar line-up of Austin architects: Alterstudio Architecture and Mell Lawrence Architects (combined project), baldridgeARCHITECTS, Tim Cuppett Architects, Charles Di Piazza Architecture, Mark Odom Studio, Thoughtbarn, Jobe Corral Architects, Studio 512, and Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects.
