The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts announced the recipients of its Fall 2018 round of grant with $3.65 million awarded to 42 arts organizations.
Among them is Austin’s Women & Their Work which has been awarded $90,000 in general program support granted over two years.
Women & Their Work will use the grant of fund a series of solo exhibitions and accompanying programs in 2019 and 2020 by women artists living in Texas. Exhibits will also be accompanied by a catalog and a video interview. Artists to be featured include Jill Bedgood, Jennifer Datchuk, Shana Hoehn, Bumin Kim, Mihee Nahm, Rosa Nussbaum, Emily O’Leary, Preetika Rajgaria, and Jade Walker.
Also honored with a Warhol Foundation grant, Houston’s DiverseWorks, an interdisciplinary center, received a $100,000 two-year program support grant.
And the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas was awarded $100,000 for the upcoming exhibition, “No Man’s Land: Women of Land Art.”
Founded in 1987 in accordance with Andy Warhol’s will, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has as its mission the advancement of the visual arts.
