The Grand Slam: Poets and Performers Reflect on Downs Field
Downs Field, currently the home field for Huston-Tillotson University, is a historic and beloved baseball field on Austin’s East 12th Street. It was once the home of Negro League Baseball’s Austin Black Senators, Austin Black Pioneers, Austin Greyhounds, as well as the Old Anderson High School Yellowjackets. Forklift Dancework’s year-long residency “Take Me Out to Downs Field” is continuing — digitally. Vulcan Video: The Exit Interviews
Austin Film Society pays tribute to one of the city’s original local businesses. For 41 years, stubbornly independent, irascibly old-style Vulcan Video fed Austin’s cinephiles. Now, AFS is collecting video interviews with former Vulcan staff, with more to come in the future.

Invoke in Pieces

Learning at Home with Landmarks
Landmarks, UT’s public art program, is hosting educational and entertaining experience for learners of all ages. Each week, spotlights a different art work. Included are curatorial essays, video interviews with the artists, K-12 activity guides, and of course, scores of beautiful images.

City of Austin Parks and Recreation
From yoga and origami classes to zine making and flower pressing, the city park’s department offers a slew of free online video classes.
