Texas Sculpture Group plans book

The Texas Sculpture Group, a statewide organization of sculptors, plans to publish “100 Texas Sculptors,” a major publication of its member artists.

The publication marks the tenth anniversary of the statewide non-profit which is currently raising funds for the $40,000 project. The new book aims to be a major contribution to documenting the visual arts in Texas. The book will have an essay by Glasstire art writer Christopher Blay.

Texas Sculpture Group members include Bill FitzgibbonsJill Bedgood, Virginia Fleck, Erin Cunningham, Bale Creek Allen, Gary Webernick, Wells Mason, and many others.

The group was to have an all-member exhibition this past summer at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, but like many exhibitions and events this year, the show has been postponed until 2021.
