The Texas Sculpture Group, a statewide organization of sculptors, plans to publish “100 Texas Sculptors,” a major publication of its member artists.
The publication marks the tenth anniversary of the statewide non-profit which is currently raising funds for the $40,000 project. The new book aims to be a major contribution to documenting the visual arts in Texas. The book will have an essay by Glasstire art writer Christopher Blay.
The group was to have an all-member exhibition this past summer at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, but like many exhibitions and events this year, the show has been postponed until 2021.
